In the last few days, Justin Bieber made the headlines for all the wrong reasons after his “crying selfies” sparked concerns among fans. On Saturday, April 27, the Baby singer was seen showing off his vulnerable side on Instagram by sharing a series of pictures, including some throwback ones. Despite the relaxed snaps from his concerts, what caught everyone’s attention were two pictures where Justin was emotional and in tears.
One of the pictures showed Bieber in a light green bucket hat paired with a white zip-up sweatshirt with tears in his eyes as he took the selfie. The other one had tears rolling down his cheek as he furrowed his eyebrows and stared off to the side.
This sparked a lot of discussions among his fans including speculations of a possible rift with his wife Hailey Bieber. Amid all of these, a close source has now shut down the rumours, claiming that the singer was simply overwhelmed with emotions and his love for Jesus Christ.
According to a Daily Mail report, an insider close to the singer shared that it was right after his prayer that he got carried away with his emotions and was shedding tears.
“The pictures he put up of him crying may have prompted fans to question his wellbeing, and whether his marriage is on the rocks – but it was about his love of Jesus. It is deep, but he prays and often sheds tears after diving into his faith and though he prays and gives thanks for all that he has in his life, he gets carried away and the emotions that come from it all are released through tears,” the source said.
The report also explained that the singer is not embarrassed or ashamed as he wants people to see his emotions which helps him out for all that he goes through.
“He feels that people should be vulnerable, and he is being vulnerable, and he believes it shows some maturity that he once didn’t have. In a word, he thinks it is beautiful,” the source added.
Hailey Bieber Reacts To JB’s Crying Selfies
While fans were largely speculating about possible troubles in Hailey and Justin’s marriage, the 27-year-old model brushed aside all the concerns by dropping a funny comment on the pictures, calling her husband a “pretty crier.”
Later, she shared shared an image of Justin Bieber on her Instagram story with the caption “Oh…I’m…unwell.”
