Actor Bhavya Gandhi, who used to play the role of Tappu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has revealed that he still watches old episodes of the show. In a recent interview, Bhavya shared that he finds old episodes of the popular sitcom ‘hilarious’ also because he was also a part of it. However, the actor did not mention anything regarding the current episodes of TMMOC.
“I do watch it. In fact, a few days back, I was on bed rest for about one and a half months due to an injury. During that particular period, I spent half of my time watching the old episodes of the show. It seemed more hilarious to me because I was also aware of the back story. So, whenever I watched any episode, I would recall how the scene was shot and the environment on the set at that particular moment,” Bhavya told Pinkvilla.
Bhavya Gandhi left TMKOC in 2017. He was replaced by Raj Anadkat. However, a few years later, he also quit Asit Kumarr Modi’s show. Currently, Nitish Bhaluni plays the role of Jethalal’s son Tappu in TMKOC.
Meanwhile, Bhavya Gandhi is all set for his comeback on television. He will now be seen as a psychotic antagonist Prabhaas in the show ‘Pushpa Impossible’. Recently, the actor also opened up about his comeback when he told IANS, “Stepping into the role of Prabhaas is a delightful experience for me as I am playing a negative character for the first time and this role is very different from playing the innocent Tappu from ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.”
“Prabhaas is unpredictable and deeply troubled, with a calm exterior that masks intense inner turmoil, making him dangerously fascinating. Returning to television with such a complex character on home channel Sony SAB is incredibly exciting for me,” he added.
