Prabhas has finally broken his dry spell at the box office with the successful film, Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire. All his movies post the Baahubali films met with a dismal fate at the box office. Although some of his films failed, the countrywide fanbase that he earned after appearing in the Baahubali film remains unparalleled. Prabhas, who was already an established star in the Telugu film industry, became a household name in all of India after Baahubali. Many of the fans that he garnered were young women who even wanted to marry the actor. Yes, you read that right. Prabhas reportedly received 5000 marriage proposals after Baahubali.
The actor confirmed this piece of information during a promotional event for his film Radhe Shyam. Prabhas said, “After Baahubali, I received around 5000 proposals for marriage. I was so confused. I will definitely get married as my mother wants me to. I will definitely have a love marriage”.
Prabhas has been rumoured to have dated many of his co-stars. He was linked with Anushka Shetty while they were making the Baahubali films together. Later, during the release of Adipurush, he was rumoured to be dating Kriti Sanon, who appeared alongside him in the film. None of these rumours were ever confirmed. Prabhas rarely talks about his private life and since he has already said that he will be having a love marriage, we will have to wait and see who he gives his heart to.
Prabhas has a slew of films lined up, the most recent offering being the Nag Ashwin-directed science fiction superhero fantasy film Kalki 2898 AD. The movie will reportedly have mythological elements as well. The director has stated that the story will start from the era of the Mahabharata and continue into several centuries in the future. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
