It’s time for a trip down memory lane for all fans of the bittersweet yet much-loved drama series, This Is Us. The Pearsons who started it all, Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, are back together. The two stars of the show recently reunited on Moore’s rewatch podcast, That Was Us, where they recreated a nostalgic behind-the-scenes photo featuring their beloved characters, Jack and Rebecca Pearson, with even Rebecca’s baby bump making a return.
Moore shared the special moment on social media. “This Is Us now and That Was Us then. Follow That Was Us for more updates,” she wrote in her caption and encouraged fans to stay tuned for more from the podcast, which she co-hosts with Sterling K. Brown and Chris Sullivan.
That Was Us podcast was created by Moore, Brown and Sullivan in May, inviting listeners to revisit the show’s emotional highs and lows. The podcast features appearances from cast members, surprise guests and passionate fans.
In another post, Moore and Ventimiglia are seen alongside Brown and Sullivan on the podcast set. The caption teases, “Current plans: Recording a very special episode of That Was Us with J̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶P̶e̶a̶r̶s̶o̶n̶ Milo Ventimiglia!!! ThisIsUs.”
During the episode, Brown and Sullivan surprised Moore by bringing out Jack’s urn. It led to a conversation about what they each kept from the This Is Us set after the series wrapped. Moore shared that she took Rebecca’s moon necklace, Sullivan revealed he now drives the wagoneer that Jack and Rebecca once owned and Brown kept cherished photos from Randall and Beth’s home.
Sullivan had once explained that the idea of starting a podcast had come to the three during a simple coffee meet-up. “We realised there was so much more to explore and share. Let the journey continue, we thought, and here we are,” he added, reports Deadline.
From 2016 to 2022, Mandy Moore And Milo Ventimiglia portrayed the parents of ‘the big three’, triplets Kevin, played by Justin Hartley, Kate, played by Chrissy Metz and Sterling K Brown who plays their adopted son Randall, on the hit NBC drama. The show narrates the Pearson family’s journey across decades – from the birth of their kids to Jack’s tragic death and the triplets’ own experiences as adults raising families.
