Stree 2's Abhishek Banerjee Reacts To Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao Credit War: 'Itne Bade Stars Ke Beech...'
Abhishek mentioned that the beauty of Stree 2 is that it belongs to everyone.

Amid the on-going credit war between Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao for the success of Stree 2, Abhishek Banerjee has said that the film belongs to everyone. Abhishek mentioned that the beauty of Stree 2 is that it belongs to everyone and everything else is unfortunate noise.

Abhishek Banerjee told Zoom TV, “I don’t understand PR. I don’t understand the kind of conversations that happen on social media. Whenever something is successful, there will always be some negative points. Kuch toh negativity chahiye logo ko jisse voh baat karein, cheezon ko bada banaye. We don’t focus on these things.

Itne bade stars ke beech main kya hai Jana? Yeh film ensemble cast ki film hai. Yeh sabki film hai and that is the beauty of the film jo kisi shor ya comparison se change nahi hoga.”

In a previous conversation with Bollywood Life, Abhishek had said, “Stree belongs to Amar Kaushik. No matter how much you fight, or what you do, it’s all pointless. What purpose do all the fights over credit serve? The director is the captain of the ship, and remember that any film, any good performance, whatever you guys are watching, it is because of the director. It is because he can keep the team connected. Stree 2 is a team film; it’s an ensemble film.”

“The movie is made with everyone’s love and hard work. So, don’t fight. Why are you trying to add unnecessary drama? We will go back, shoot for the next one, and you will enjoy it just as much,” he added.

Aparshakti also commented on the credit war and told Zoom TV, “Main ispe kuch bolunga, baat khulegi toh door tak jaayegi, main kuch bolna nahin chahunga, audience jo kahe wo sahi hai”. He said that while the film is minting money at the box office, there is a “PR game” going on of “upping and downing somebody”.

Horror comedy Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has surpassed Rs 500 crore in worldwide gross box office collections, the makers announced on Sunday. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, the film is the sequel to 2018’s Stree.
