Shilpa Shetty visited the Kamakya Temple in Assam on Tuesday. Photos from her visit went viral.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty visited Assam to offer her prayers at Kamakya Temple. Her visit to the temple comes a few days after Enforcement Directorate seized Shilpa and Raj Kundra’s assets worth Rs 98 crore in a crypto assets ponzi scheme case. The photos of her visit have now surfaced online and it showed the actress was joined by her mother.

In one of the photos, Shilpa was seen performing a special puja in the temple. She also posed with the authorities of the temple. Meanwhile, her husband, businessman Raj Kundra was not seen at the temple. See the photos below:

Last month, ED seized Raj’s properties worth Rs 97.79 crore. The attached properties include a residential flat in Mumbai’s Juhu, in the name of Shilpa. Another property is a residential bungalow in Pune and Equity shares in the name of Raj Kundra, the ED said.

The Mumbai zonal office of ED has provisionally attached immovable and movable properties of Raj under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. It has been alleged that Kundra along with others collected huge amounts of funds in the form of bitcoins (worth Rs 6,600 crore in 2017) from the “gullible public with the false promises of 10 per cent per month return in the form of bitcoins”.

The couple issued a statement via their lawyer. They said they will cooperate with the concerned authorities. They hoped for “fair investigation” and stated that they had full faith in the Indian judiciary system.

“We shall follow the due process of law and take necessary steps as prescribed under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act to protect the liberty and property of my clients. On the face of it, there is no prima facie case made out against my clients Mr Raj Kundra and Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra,” their statement read.

“We have complete faith in the Honourable Judiciary. I believe when we make our fair representation before the Honourable Enforcement Directorate, even the investigation agencies may grant justice to us. We have faith in the fair investigation. We stand committed to cooperating with the authorities as and when required,” it added.

It was also reported that ED will call Shilpa for questioning.
