Shikhar Pahariya Can’t Take His Eyes Off Janhvi Kapoor As He Watches Devara in Theatres: ‘Am I Dreaming’
Shikhar Pahariya took to his Instagram stories and shared a scene from the film featuring Janhvi Kapoor. He praised her beauty

Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s Devara have finally been released in theatres. It is getting an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience. Shikhar Pahariya also watched the film in theatres and looked mesmerised by the beauty of Janhvi. He took to his social handle and cheered for her. Devara Part 1 also stars Saif Ali Khan.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Shikhar shared a scene featuring Janhvi and wrote, “Am I dreaming”? Janhvi has also reacted to it. Devara: Part 1 has opened to positive reviews from audiences. Several social media users who caught the first few shows praised Jr NTR, the action scenes and the cinematography. Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are making their Telugu film industry debut with the film. This also marks Jr NTR’s first solo release in six years. The film has already sold tickets worth Rs 80 crore.

Take a look here:

According to Pinkvilla reports, the film’s opening day ticket sales have crossed the Rs 80-crore mark. Out of this total collection, Rs 49 crore has been collected from India, while the international market contributes Rs 31 crore.

Other than Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka is another strong market, where pre-sales are looking impressive and Sacnilk estimates that the movie has the potential to earn over Rs 10 crore. In Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Devara is expected to open with around Rs 3 crore. However, ticket sales in northern India are not promising, as the Hindi version is expected to earn around Rs 5-6 crore on its opening day. Despite this, the film — also starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor — has the potential to become the second biggest opener of 2024, after Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.

To attract a massive audience and create box office history, the makers of Devara: Part 1 have decided to extend its theatrical release. While most films typically screen for about 4-5 weeks, the team behind Jr NTR’s latest movie aims to keep it in theatres for at least 50 days, or roughly 7-8 weeks. Previously, Kalki 2898 AD ran for nearly 8 weeks and set impressive box office records. It appears that the Devara team is following a similar path. They plan to release the film on OTT platforms only after the 50 day theatrical run, which provides audiences enough time to enjoy the action packed thriller on the big screen.
