Rubina Dilaik is a devoted mother. Besides being a talented actress, Dilaik also hosts a talk show proving that there’s nothing she can’t pull off. As the doting mother is back with the second season of her talk show ‘Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi,’ she sat down for a conversation with fellow new mother, Debina Bonnerjee this time around. The duo indulged in an insightful conversation, delving into discussions on life after motherhood
The mom to twin daughters, Edhaa and Jeeva, while speaking to Debina, reflected on facing a surge of emotions postpartum and its impact on her sleep schedule. The actress recalled a moment of complete breakdown due to the lack of sleep as she revealed, “There was an extreme time when I had a complete breakdown. I mean, I was like, I need help. I used to get up at night and cry. I started feeling that I needed help. I would wake up in the middle of the night and keep crying, wondering what is happening to me and thinking of the fact that I was not able to complete my sleep.”
Moving forth in the conversation, Dilaik acknowledged her husband Abhinav Shukla’s support during the tough time. The former Bigg Boss winner shared how Abhinav proposed sleeping with one baby and leaving the other with their mother, in a bid to help her sleep alone in a separate room. The new mom further said that it took her weeks to get a few hours of good sleep only after Abhinav forced her to rest in a different room. Rubina concluded with, “However, I kept waking up to check the baby monitor, ensuring everything was okay. I’d go outside the room to hear if all was well, if the babies have burped, if the diapers have been changed. I could just not settle.”
Meanwhile, Rubina and Abhinav entered parental bliss last year in November. The actress, earlier this month, made her Punjabi film debut with Chal Bhajj Chaliye. The rom-com film featured Inder Chahal as the protagonist with Rubina playing his love interest.
