RRR Cinematographer Senthil Kumar’s Wife Passes Away Due To Multiple Organ Failure

RRR cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar’s wife Roohi aka Ruheenaaz passed away on Thursday, February 15. She breathed her last at the KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad, Telangana. Reportedly, Roohi was hospitalised for the last few days but passed away on Thursday due to multiple organ failure. “Cinematographer Senthil’s wife #Roohi garu passed away (on Thursday) at 2 pm. Final rites (on Friday) at 9 am at Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills,” a statement from Senthil’s team read.

Soon after the news of Roohi’s death made headlines, fans of the couple took to social media to share her throwback pictures with Baahubali stars Prabhas and Anushka Shetty. Sharing the photos, one of the fans paid tribute to Senthil’s wife and wrote, “Shocking to hear that Cinematographer Senthil Kumar Garu’s wife Roohi Garu passed away today due to health issues. Roohi Garu always used to respond to our messages, stories sweetly Condolences to her family (sic).”

Senthil Kumar has been working with SS Rajamouli for a long time now. They worked together on several projects including Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali: The Conclusion, Magadheera, Yamadonga, Arundhati, Eega, Chatrapathi, and Sye.

Senthil and Rajamouli last worked together on the superhit film RRR. The film is a fictional tale of Indian revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju played by Ram Charan and Komaram Bheem played by Jr NTR. The film is set in the 1920s when India was under British rule. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in key roles. The film earned close to Rs 1200 crore worldwide at the box office. It also created history at the Oscars. RRR 2 is also in the works currently.
