Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal offered their condolences to the legendary industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata’s family before his funeral. The couple was spotted making their way to the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) lawns, at Nariman Point, where Tata’s mortal remains have been kept for everyone to offer their last respects. Isha and Anand greeted Tata’s family with folded hands.
In a video, Isha was also seen giving a hug to a fellow mourner who was present there to offer their condolences. Check out the video below:
Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday night, October 9. Following his death, Isha’s father, businessman Mukesh Ambani said that he lost his ‘dear friend’. “It is a very sad day for India and India Inc. Ratan Tata’s passing away is a big loss, not just to the Tata Group, but to every Indian. At a personal level, the passing of Ratan Tata has filled me with immense grief as I lost a dear friend,” he said.
“Each of my numerous interactions with him left me inspired and energised and enhanced my respect for the nobility of his character and the fine human values he embodied. Ratan Tata was a visionary industrialist and a philanthropist, who always strove for society’s greater good,” he added.
The funeral will take place on Thursday evening. The mortal remains will be taken for the final rites to the Prayer Hall of the Worli Crematorium.
The former chairman of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata breathed his last on October 9 at Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai. The Maharashtra government has declared a day of mourning, with flags flown at half-mast across government buildings as a mark of respect.
