Ranbir Kapoor Best Suited To Play Virat Kohli In His Biopic, Reveals Dinesh Karthik: 'He Will Do...'
Dinesh Karthik recently appeared in a Cricbuzz video discussing India's upcoming Super 8 campaign at the T20 World Cup.

In the past, several biopics have been produced about prominent Indian sports personalities such as MS Dhoni, Mary Kom, Milkha Singh, and Paan Singh Tomar. Recently, Kartik Aaryan starred in the biographical sports drama Chandu Champion, which depicts the life and challenges of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. But have you ever wondered which Bollywood actor would be ideal to portray Virat Kohli in his biopic? Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has a suggestion.

Dinesh Karthik recently appeared in a Cricbuzz video discussing India’s upcoming Super 8 campaign at the T20 World Cup. He also shared his thoughts on biopics of some of his teammates. When asked which actor would best portray Virat Kohli in a biopic, Karthik suggested Ranbir Kapoor, expressing confidence in Kapoor’s ability to capture Kohli’s playing style, despite never having seen Ranbir play cricket. “Ranbir Kapoor will do a good job,” he said. For Shikhar Dhawan, Karthik believes Akshay Kumar is the perfect choice, citing their strong connection and predicting that Kumar would bring a lot of fun to the role. Regarding Suryakumar Yadav, Karthik recommended Paresh Rawal or Suniel Shetty, pointing to their comic timing as a good fit for Yadav’s personality.

Next was Hardik Pandya, and Karthik felt that only Ranveer Singh could match his style. For Yuzvendra Chahal, he thought Rajpal Yadav would be perfect. As for Jasprit Bumrah, Karthik suggested Rajkummar Rao. He also mentioned that Vijay Sethupathi would be ideal for Rohit Sharma’s biopic, citing Sethupathi’s ability to be both funny and serious. Dinesh concluded by saying many people think he looks like Vikrant Massey, who might be great at playing him in a biopic.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is currently basking in the success of Animal, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna. The film has been getting an overwhelming response from the audience. He also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War in his pipeline. Announced in January this year, the film will also star Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt in key roles. It is slated to hit theatres on Christmas 2025.
