Priyanka Chopra can’t stop praising the highly-anticipated spy series trailer for Citadel: Honey Bunny! On Tuesday, the makers dropped the first official trailer of the show, featuring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. While the trailer has already drawn praise from many Bollywood celebrities, Priyanka Chopra also joined the bandwagon. Reposting the trailer on her Instagram story, she wrote, “Back to where it all began for Nadia…the origin story…Citadel: Honey Bunny, trailer out now,” as a gesture of support for the Indian adaptation.

The actress also gave a shout-out to Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, calling them “incredible” in the season, while describing directors Raj & DK as “exceptional.”

It is worth mentioning that Priyanka Chopra played the lead role in the original American version of Citadel alongside Richard Madden. She was seen as Nadia Sinh, a highly skilled Citadel spy agent. She is currently even shooting for the second season of the show.

Soon after the trailer came out on Wednesday, celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, Manushi Chhillar, and others were left impressed by Varun and Samantha in their James Bond era. While Alia called the actors her “favourites,” stating that the trailer looks very good, filmmaker Karan Johar said that he can’t wait to watch the show.

A spin-off of the American spy action show Citadel: Honey Bunny features Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu stepping into the shoes of undercover agents. The two disguise themselves for a global mission. From being lovers to being drawn into the world of espionage and action, Bunny and Honey would not only fight side by side but also against each other.

The trailer promises a package of high-octane stunts, combat, and car chases, all presented through Raj and DK’s signature style. Besides Varun and Samanth, the trailer also gives a glimpse of notable faces like Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher.
