Prabhas To Play Ravana In Vishnu Manchu-starrer Kannappa? What We Know
Prabhas will soon be seen in the upcoming 2024 Indian epic dystopian action film Kalki 2898 AD.

The much-awaited film Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, is creating a lot of buzz among the fans and on social media. Earlier, there were reports that rebel star Prabhas had joined the film’s shoot and would be playing the role of Lord Shiva. Now, according to the latest reports, the actor has been removed from the previous role, and he will be seen playing the character of Ravana.

Meanwhile, the recently released Kannappa teaser has created the usual expectations among the audience. The teaser for Vishnu Manchu starrer Kannappa was launched on June 14 at an event in Hyderabad. The makers also released the teaser on YouTube in multiple languages. Kannappa is a historical drama featuring a lot of action. While Vishnu Manchu is featured as an invincible man, there are short glimpses of Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal. Take a look at the teaser:

Within 10 days, the teaser has garnered 20,566,673 views on YouTube. While viewers shared their feedback in the comments section, one fan wrote, “OMG, the special appearance of Mohanlal, Akshay, and Prabas." Another one said, “Mind-blowing trailer, I highly recommend for new viewers to watch this with headphones and closed eyes." Many dropped heart and fire emoticons.

The teaser for Kannappa initially premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. The shooting of the film took place in New Zealand.

Director Mukesh Kumar Singh’s Kannappa is a fantasy film that is based on Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu, Preity Mukhundhan, Sarath Kumar, Brahmananandam, Mohan Babu, and several others are part of the cast. Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal play cameo roles in the film.

The film is backed jointly by AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The music for the film is composed by Stephen Devassy, while the editing is done by Anthony and the cinematography by Sheldon Cha. The film was originally shot in Telugu and is expected to be dubbed and released in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and English.

Meanwhile, Prabhas will soon be seen in the upcoming 2024 Indian epic dystopian action film Kalki 2898 AD. The film releases worldwide on June 27.
