Shweta Tiwari is one of the prominent names in the world of Indian film industry. She has worked the numerous TV serials that gained significant popularity. Despite her success in the entertainment industry, her personal life was always filled with turmoil. Her family faced some financial issues, forcing the actress to start working at a very young age. She entered the industry at the age of just 12.
When she was at the peak of her career, the actress fell in love with Raja Chaudhary, who was around six years older than her. The duo got married in the year 1998 when she was 18. Within two years, they welcomed their first child, Palak. It was reported that Shweta’s family was against her decision to marry at a young age. Ignoring her family’s concerns, she tied the knot with the renowned director.
After spending nine years, the couple got divorced in the year 2007. Following this, Shweta accused Raja of domestic violence. She decided to raise her daughter Palak on her own. In a past interview, the popular actress revealed that it was quite challenging for her to raise a child while working actively in the entertainment industry.
After around six years, Shweta fell in love once again. In 2013, she married Abhinav Kohli. The couple welcomed their child Reyansh. However, the relationship did not last long. In 2019, the actress registered a complaint against her husband, accusing him of domestic violence and harassment towards her daughter Palak.
In an interview with ETimes TV, Shweta called her married life a poisonous wound. She said, “I was going through severe pain because of an infection, so I got it operated on. It was poisonous and I had to take it out. And now, I am living a healthy life.” Later, Abinav shared some of their chats to prove his innocence in this matter. Presently at the age of 43, she lives with her two children.
Shweta Tiwari will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film Singham Again. It will have popular actors like Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar.
