Days after joining the cast of Ryan Murphy and Kim Kardashian’s latest drama, All’s Fair, actress Halle Berry has exited the Hulu legal series. According to a Variety report, Halle Berry will no longer star in the show or serve as its executive producer. While the reasons behind her quick exit are unclear, sources known to the portal suggest the actress had a scheduling conflict. The update came just a week after it was reported that Halle Berry had joined All’s Fair with Glenn Close. Currently, it is yet to be seen who would replace Berry in the series or the character that she was chosen for.
An Academy Award-winning actress, Halle Berry won an Oscar for her performance in Monster’s Ball and became the first and only African American to receive the coveted Best Actress award. Besides, she has also won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress for her portrayal of Dorothy Dandrige in HBO’s Introducing Dorothy Dandrige.
Among her other work credits are Frankie + Alice, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Things We Lost In The Fire, Cloud Atlas, Catwoman, and X-Men. While the actress has dropped out of the upcoming legal drama, she still has Netflix’s action thriller, The Union, and Lionsgate’s Never Let Go in the pipeline. Also starring Mark Wahlberg, The Union will be released on August 16, while the horror film is slated for September 27, 2024.
More About Ryan Murphy, Kim Kardashian’s Upcoming Drama
Announced back in December 2023, All’s Fair is said to be the first series under Murphy after his deal at Disney. It will feature Kim as a powerful divorce lawyer in Los Angeles who runs a successful all-female law firm. Created by Job Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, the show is said to be inspired by Kardashian’s actual lawyer, who majorly represented her divorce proceedings with Kanye West and Kris Humphries, states a Daily Mail report.
On the other hand, Murphy serves as the writer, director and executive producer of All’s Fair. The show, which is one of five TV shows to receive a share of $58 million in California tax credits, will begin production later this year. It will be filmed for 97 days in California and 10 more days outside LA.
The release date is yet to be confirmed.
