Actor Neena Gupta is currently over the moon as she has recently become a grandmother. The actor’s daughter, ace fashion designer Masaba Gupta, recently welcomed a baby girl with her husband Satyadeep Mishra. The couple has not revealed the name or face of their daughter to the media as of now. In a recent interview, Neena revealed that her granddaughter has taken after her father.
In a conversation with India Today Digital, Neena Gupta opened up about being a grandmother. The celebrated actor revealed that she is currently helping Masaba Gupta enter this new phase of her life with utmost ease. She said, “Koi feeling nahi hai, abhi sirf responsibility hai (There’s no feeling as it’s all about the responsibility at the moment). All we want is for Masaba to also get enough rest. I am there to ensure she gets her four-hour naps regularly. Everyone is involved in that right now, so it hasn’t really seeped in.”
Neena shared the first glimpse of her granddaughter as soon as she was born. Sharing a picture, she wrote, “Meri beti ki beti – Rab rakha.” The picture showed her holding the baby close to her.

Talking about her granddaughter Neena revealed that she has taken after her father, Satyadeep. She also talked fondly about Satyadeep and mentioned how she wants the child to imbibe his ‘calm and tranquil nature.’ The actor continued, “Sattu is absolute zen, he is so calm and tranquil. He is just amazing. On the other hand, Masaba is fierce. I really want their daughter to have a balanced personality, with some elements borrowed from the both of them.”
On the work front, Neena recently won the National Film Award under the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Uunchai.
