Two weeks back, the megastar, who serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army, visited the landslide-hit Wayanad to offer his assistance. Dressed in his army uniform, Mohanlal held a discussion with the officers before heading to the affected areas. The actor, who was honoured with the lieutenant colonel rank in the Territorial Army in 2009, demonstrated his commitment to service by offering support and solidarity during this crisis.

On the work front, Mohanlal and critically acclaimed filmmaker Sathyan Athikad are set to reunite for a film titled Hridayapoorvam. The confirmation of the film was made a few months ago. As per the latest update, it is believed that the film will go on floors soon. In this film, Mohanlal is expected to play a common man, similar to his character in the superhit film Neru.
