Love Sex Aur Dhoka 2 Trailer: Dibakar Banerjee Offers Bold Perspective On Love In Digital Age
Love, Sex Aur Dhoka 2, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, will be released on April 19, 2024.

Fourteen years after the groundbreaking ‘Love Sex Dhokha’ (LSD) captured audiences, Dibakar Banerjee reunites with Ekta Kapoor for the much-anticipated sequel, ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’ (LSD 2). The sequel’s arresting posters and bold teasers have already sparked significant anticipation. Continuing his tradition of boundary-pushing cinema, Dibakar Banerjee is poised to explore yet another compelling narrative of love in the digital age with LSD 2. Today, the film’s creators released what is arguably the boldest, most enthralling trailer yet for this sequel.

The ‘LSD 2’ trailer weaves together three contemporary stories against the backdrop of the internet era, delving into the themes of love, betrayal, and the intricate dynamics of relationships. It reveals the multifaceted nature of love in the modern world. These intertwined narratives are brought to life through the exceptional performances of newcomers Paritosh Tiwari, Abhinav Singh, and Bonita Rajpurohit, alongside seasoned actors Swastika Mukherjee, Tusshar Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Anu Malik, and Uorfi Javed, adding depth and variety to the film’s exploration of its themes.

Producer and filmmaker Ekta Kapoor recently shared her thoughts on her forthcoming project, ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’, suggesting that she might ‘disappear from the public eye’ following the film’s debut. Drawing parallels with the aftermath of her previous movie, ‘Thank You For Coming’, Kapoor remarked on how her social media accounts were inundated with negative feedback after its release.

She told Variety, “Thank You for Coming has left a very strange pain in my heart because of the kind of reception it got in India, vis-a-vis the reception it got overseas, I don’t know what happened. And the hate spamming we went through – our walls used to be spammed every day with hatred, because we attempted to discover and make a movie on female sexuality. I can only imagine what’s gonna happen when ‘LSD 2’ [Dibakar Banerjee’s sequel to his 2010 hit LSD: Love, Sex Aur Dhokha] comes. I think I’ll have to hide again.”
