Lok Sabha Elections: Chiranjeevi Donates Rs 5 Crore To Brother Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party
Chiranjeevi’s brother, Pawan Kalyan is the chief of the Jana Sena party and is contesting elections from Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly Elections.

The country is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 which will commence from April 19. The Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh will take place on May 13 and the vote counting will be on June 4. Andhra Pradesh Assembly has 175 seats and for a party to win, it has to secure at least 88 seats to be able to form their government. Meanwhile, ahead of the elections, Telugu superstar, Chiranjeevi made a generous donation of Rs 5 crore to the funds of the Jana Sena party, led by his brother, Pawan Kalyan.

Chiranjeevi’s brother, Power Star Pawan Kalyan is the chief of the Jana Sena party and is contesting elections from Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly Elections alongside Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Bro actor met the Telugu superstar at a movie location, where Pawan Kalyan was accompanied by his other brother Naga Babu. Jana Sena chief sought the blessings of the Waltair Veerayya actor as well.

A press note released by the Jana Sena Party office revealed that on the occasion, Chiranjeevi gave a Rs 5 crore cheque to Pawan Kalyan’s party to conduct elections. Reportedly, this took place at Pochampally, 80 kilometres away from Hyderabad.

Chiranjeevi is currently gearing up for the upcoming movie Vishmbhara and the shoot is currently going on at Pochampally, where Pawan Kalyan arrived. The two brothers reportedly talked about politics and other affairs during their meeting.

Speaking of elections, in the 2014 Assembly elections, the Telugu Desam Party led by Chandrababu Naidu won 102 seats and formed their government. Meanwhile, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) secured 67 seats. The BJP won just four seats against two regional parties. Next, in the 2019 Assembly elections, the YSRCP won the majority of 151 seats and TDP secured only 23 seats.

The Lok Sabha elections for 543 seats in the country will be held in phases which will kickstart on April 19.
