After a string of standout performances including ‘MIMI’ which won her a National Award, Kriti Sanon is once again proving her mettle by stepping into uncharted territory. Her upcoming film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ sees the talented actress take on a groundbreaking role – that of a robot named Sifra. In doing so, Kriti not only pioneers a unique character but also becomes the first female actor in Bollywood to portray a robot on the silver screen.
Kriti recently revealed her reaction to finding out that she’s playing a robot in the film. She told Pinkvilla, “So when I was hearing the script, I was just hearing it like a light film. I didn’t know what was gonna happen, and I was like, ‘Haa nice, you know the chemistry is great, sweet love story and all,’ and something like this happened, and I was like, ‘What?'”
She continued, “So (Shahid’s) reaction in the trailer (covers her mouth), so that was my reaction. But then it’s written really well; it’s really funny in a lot of places. So I remember just not expecting anything and just laughing a lot. You know I was really laughing a lot. Towards the end, I was in splits, and I just called Dinu like, almost laughing, and I’m like, ‘listen, this is really funny; I’m doing it.”
From the glimpses we’ve seen in the trailer and songs, it is evident that Kriti Sanon effortlessly embodies the intricacies of her character. Playing a robot is no easy feat, especially considering the challenges of conveying emotions through a mechanical exterior. However, Kriti seems to have mastered the art, showcasing a range of skills that highlight the depth of her acting prowess.
As the release of ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is just around the corner, Kriti Sanon is undeniably back with the promise of another stellar performance.
