Kriti Sanon is set to mark her debut as a producer in the upcoming thriller film Do Patti, which will also feature Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh in key roles. Scheduled to release on October 25 on Netflix, the movie is already generating excitement among fans with its gripping storyline and promising cast. Keeping up the buzz, Kriti recently dropped an intriguing teaser of the film’s new song, Ankhiyaan De Kol, sung by Shilpa Rao. This track is set to be released today and promises to be a banger.
In the teaser, viewers catch a glimpse of Kriti’s silhouette as she walks in her signature glam style, while Shilpa’s voice plays in the background. Sharing a sneak peek of the new track, the actress wrote, “Feel the magic of Ankhiyaan De Kol. In the soulful voice of Shilpa Rao. Do Patti releasing on 25th October only on Netflix.”
Notably, this is the second song from the movie. The first Raanjhan was sung by Parampara Tandon, composed by Sachet-Parampara and written by Kausar Munir. The video of the song displayed the complex dynamics between the two sisters and Shaheer Sheikh’s character.
In Do Patti, Kriti will be in a double role of twin sisters Saumya and Shelly. While speaking about the project during an interview with The Hindu, she said, “The film has twists and turns with a lot of drama and rivalry but at the core of it, it does talk about an important issue I personally felt for. I’m hoping it will stay with audiences and also move them to tears.”
Set in a fictional hill station, Netflix describes the film as a puzzling investigation that leads a no-nonsense cop down a dark path involving the vicious rivalry between twin sisters and the volatile man they both love. Directed by debut filmmaker Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, Do Patti is set to release on Netflix next week. It is jointly produced by Kanika Dhillon’s Kathha Pictures and Kriti Sanon’s Blue Butterfly Films.
