Karan Johar REACTS to Kangana Ranaut Slap Incident 7 Years After 'Movie Mafia' Row: ‘I Don’t Support…’
Karan Johar has condemned the attack on actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut by a CISF official at Chandigarh airport.

Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a CISF guard at the Chandigarh airport last Thursday afternoon. Kangana was travelling to New Delhi days after her Lok Sabha elections win from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency. The CISF woman constable, identified as Kulwinder Kaur, has been suspended. An FIR is being registered against the CISF constable at Chandigarh Airport based on a written complaint by CISF officials. A complaint has also been filed by CISF to the local police. And now, Karan Johar has reacted to it.

During the trailer release of his next production, Kill, Karan Johar was asked about the incident. He said, “I do not support or condone any form of violence – verbal or physical”.

Kangana Ranaut- Karan Johar Fight

Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut’s feud began when she appeared on his show, Koffee With Karan, six years ago, calling him a ‘movie mafia’ and ‘flag bearer of nepotism’.

In response, Karan Johar once suggested that Kangana was free to leave the industry if she had so many issues with it and should stop playing the victim card.

Only last year, Kangana criticised Karan again, accusing him of fudging box office figures ahead of the release of his latest film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.

Kangana Ranaut Slapgate

CISF staff Kulwinder Kaur was apparently unhappy with Kangana’s comment on Punjab women during the farmers’ protest against the three farm laws, suggesting they participated in the protest in exchange for money. The lady constable was arrested later in the evening.

So far, several actors including Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Urif Javed and Devoleena Bhattacharjee have come out in support of Kangana Ranaut, condemning the unfortunate incident.

In fact, Hrithik Roshan, who was once mired in a controversy with the actor-turned-politician from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh, reacted to it by liking a post by journalist Faye D’Souza that condemned the act.
