Little did Karan Johar know that his twins - Roohi and Yash - can act as catalysts in mending relations with the people he's long been at war with.
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Karan decided to surprise his fans by sharing the first-ever photograph of his children with their grandmother Hiroo on Instagram. Soon after the post was up, his old friend Kajol, with whom we had quite a public fallout, liked the photograph. To ensure the gesture didn't go unrequited, Karan decided to follow Kajol on Instagram.
The two have not just been best of friends off-screen, but have also worked together in films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan to carve a league of their pairing in Bollywood.
But the two had a fallout when Kajol sided with her husband Ajay Devgn over the Shivaay-Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clash. In fact, in an interview to CNN News18, Karan even stated that Ajay, Kajol’s husband, had a role to play in the fallout. “I'd like to say & I stand by it is that this is not a phase, a feeling that will change. No matter what, she's out of my life,” the filmmaker had said.
With a positive step from each, it seems the two are letting go of all that went wrong in the recent past and trying to take hold of things for the good again. Whether this rekindles the old friendship or not, only time will tell. But as for now, the fans can rejoice as perhaps one of the most loved friend-duos of Bollywood have started their journey back towards the good old days.
