Actor Jitendra Kumar, also known as Jeetu Bhaiya, opened up about working with TVF and said that the OTT media platform was ‘better than Bollywood.’ Jeetu has worked with TVF since its initial years. He started his journey with TVF by starring in Permanent Roommates in 2014 before he became one of the leads in TVF Pitchers. He then starred in TVF Bachelors and ImMature. He now appears in Kota Factory and Panchayat.
Having been with them for so long, Jitendra said, “When (TVF) started, the entertainment landscape was lacking in fundamentals. Much of the content operated on a surface level, with only a few exceptions. By basics, I mean the essence of storytelling was absent. Writing didn’t engage people; it felt disjointed and strange.”
“Our emotional connection was often limited to a handful of stars like Shah Rukh Khan. If he shed a tear on screen or faced a challenge, we’d feel it too. But beyond that, the storytelling basics were largely absent,” he added. “Then, there came TVF who decided to go back to basics. They focused on connecting with people, and that became a major driving force behind their work.” Jitendra said.
The actor will be returning for the third season of Kota Factory. As for the production house, TVF has been trying successfully to become the torchbearer of new content in India. In 2024, they released a new web series Sapne vs Everyone with amazing response and viewership. They are gearing up for one of the biggest years with new seasons of Panchayat, Kota Factory and Gullak announced. They at the same time experimenting with newer and bigger stories. They have announced a new series The Great Indian Code dedicated to the IT revolution of India in the 70s and 80s. This is looking like their one of the most ambitious shows.
