Jennifer Aniston Gets Oil Thrown At Her On The Morning Show Sets. Real Or Fake?

The fourth season of Apple TV+ The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, is well underway. In what appears to be a protest scenario, Aniston’s Alex Levy gets fully soaked in a black liquid. During a scene in New York City where she was mobbed by extras, the Friends alum seemed agitated. Aniston’s attire, which consisted of a sleeveless white top and khaki flared trousers, was utterly damaged when she moved through the irate throng.

After fans of Jennifer Aniston started reacting to the videos and photos, it was revealed that the entire situation was scripted and part of a scene she was filming. According to a report in The Mirror, the glimpses were from a part of the protest scene for their series The Morning Show. Some protestors were seen holding signs that read “Extinction Revolt,” “Fuel Kills,” and “Climate Emergency,” suggesting that they were performing for a scene.

Aniston and Witherspoon posted the first behind-the-scenes photo of the group reuniting for the new season earlier this month. “Let @themorningshow [sic] season 4 games begin. Here we come,” Aniston stated as she posted a picture of herself with Witherspoon and Tig Notaro.

Aniston’s post includes a snapshot of the screenplay for Season 4’s opening episode, My Roman Empire.

The episode, which Mimi Leder will be directing, was written by Zender Lehmann and Charlotte Stoudt. For the forthcoming season of The Morning Show, Jeremy Irons will portray Alex Levy’s (Aniston) father.

In addition, Marion Cotillard, Greta Lee, Mark Duplass, Karen Pittman, Nestor Carbonell, and Billy Crudup are part of the Season 4 cast.

The Hollywood Reporter was recently informed by showrunner Charlotte Stoudt that the fallout from their decisions in season 3 will recur “in every sense and for every character” in season 4.

Recently, the drama received several Emmy nominations, including for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Witherspoon and Aniston.
