Varun Dhawan is preparing for his next film Baby John. The actor often shares BTS photos or videos on social media. And today the makers dropped another poster featuring Jackie Shroff’s look from the film. In no time it went viral and fans were seen also reacting to it. Many called the film ‘blockbuster’.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Jackie Shroff shared the poster and wrote, “Something big is coming… Stay tuned for the ultimate reveal! #BabyJohn releasing 25th December 2024.” One of the fans wrote, “Can’t wait.” Another wrote, “Absolutely killing it.” Baby John is a remake of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil film Theri. According to a Mid-Day report, Salman will play a senior police officer, reprising the role originally portrayed by actor Prabhu. The source shared that Atlee and director Kalees have added some thrilling fight sequences featuring Salman. “He will be seen as a swashbuckling cop with some tongue-in-cheek dialogues,” the source revealed.

The star-studded cast of Baby John also includes Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav in significant roles. The film is presented by Jio Studios and Atlee, in collaboration with A for Apple Studios and Cine1 Studios. It is directed by A. Kaleeswaran and produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, with music composed by S Thaman.
Fans can expect a teaser for Baby John around Diwali, according to Pinkvilla. A source close to the development stated, “The idea is to grab the eyeballs of the cinema-going audience by attaching the promo to both Diwali releases—Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The campaign for the Christmas release will kick off with an action-packed teaser this Diwali.”
Baby John is set for a Christmas release, arriving in theaters on December 25, 2024.
Talking about the film with Pinkvilla, Varun Dhwan said, “All I can say is it’s a mass-action entertainer. There is a lot of entertainment in the film, which I love as well. And I’m just going to give it my all.”
