Actor-filmmaker Nagendra Babu is considered to be an important part of South Indian cinema, belonging to the superstar Konidela family. He recently made an appearance at a promotional event of the film Committee Kurrollu, along with his daughter Niharika Konidela, who is its producer. At the event, the actor spoke about his film family and how it has been dominating the Tollywood industry.
As per reports, the pre-release event of the film was held on Monday at the Pithapuram constituency, attended by the cast and crew of Committee Kurrollu. Naga Babu praised his daughter’s judgment as a producer and said that the new faces will bring “freshness” to the release. He liked the fact that newcomers were selected for the film.
Continuing the conversation, the actor stated that this industry does not belong to anyone and any talented person can achieve success here. He said, “Industry is not our father’s property…anyone can come if he has talent.” His statement is now receiving a lot of attention among the fans and the industry people.
The film is being made under the direction of Yadu Vamsi, who has also penned its story. The cast includes Sai Kumar, Goparaju Ramana, Sharanya Suresh, Sri Lakshmi, Teena Sravya, Prasad Behra, Kota Jayaram, Kittayya, Eshwar Rachiraju, Vishika and many others. It is being produced by Jayalakshmi Adapaka, Niharika Konidela, Padmaja Konidela and Ramesh Manyam under the banner of Pink Elephant Pictures.
Anudeep Dev has given the music in the film and the cinematography is done by Edurolu Raju and the editor is Anwar Ali. The film is being released on August 9. Reports further said that Naga Babu only heard the story of Committee Kurrollu at the insistence of his daughter Niharika and ended up liking it.
Nagendra Babu’s last release was Peddha Kapu 1, which was written and directed by Srikanth Addala. The film stars Virat Karrna and Pragathi Srivatsava as the leads. It was produced under the banner of Dwaraka Creations and was released theatrically last year.
