In the second edition of IBNLive Movie Awards, we select nominees in various popular categories and allow our readers decide the outcome. Movies have the power to leave an indelible impact on the minds of the viewers. They not only make us think, but also play an instrumental role in changing the way we think. And several filmmaker did exactly the same by using hard-hitting dialogues in their projects.
These are the nominees in the Best dialogue category:
Vishal Bhardwaj and Basharat Peer (Haider): Like most of Vishal Bhardwaj's previous projects, 'Haider' also delves deeper into political issues and conflicts, and shows Vishal's obsession with the grim and the gritty. If the dark setup and pulsing background score of 'Haider' echoes the despair of Kashmir, its hard-hitting dialogues elucidate the pain the natives have been experiencing for years.
Abhijat Joshi & Rajkumar Hirani (PK): PK not only entertained us, but also put forth a different outlook to life, social beliefs and political ideologies, courtesy the film's dialogues.
Vishal Bhardwaj (Desh Ishqiya): 'Dedh Ishqiya' had enough persuasive and powerful romantic quotes to set millions of hearts aflutter. While actors Madhuri Dixit and Naseeruddin Shah left an impact on the movie buffs with their heart-swooning accent and mushy lines, Arshad Warsi and Huma Qureshi wowed everyone with their cheesy, corny and cringe-worthy dialogues.
