There have been several discussions and heated debates about the most deserving films in 2014. The past year saw an interesting blend of films that won commercial success and critical acclaim. So while the big films got bigger, several offbeat projects also found several takers. In the second edition of IBNLive Movie Awards, we select nominees in various popular categories and allow our readers decide the outcome.

The nominees are:
Aamir Khan ('PK'): Nobody except Aamir can be convincing at giving a microscopic analysis of the human nature. He is successful at making us own up flaws even though we think of ourselves as rational and virtuous beings.
Akshay Kumar ('Holiday'): Akshay Kumar's portrayal of military secret agent Captain Virat Bakshi who doesn't think too much before entering a hand to hand combat with the goons was the key strength of Holiday.
Shahid Kapoor (Haider): If filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj won plaudits for the modern-day adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragedy 'Hamlet, it also gave an unforgettable role to Shahid Kapoor, which is quite evident from the awards he won.
