Ajith Kumar is one of the most remarkable actors in Tamil cinema with many hit films to his credit including Mankatha, Varalaaru, etc. His wife, Shalini Ajith Kumar is also a former actress and sister-in-law Shamili tried her luck at acting as well. She has acted in a few films including Veera Sivaji, Kandukondain Kandukondain, etc but couldn’t become a renowned name.

After failing to find the desired success in the film industry, Shamili quit acting and found her calling in painting. She has organised many art exhibitions as well for the same. She organised and held her art exhibition, SHE Solo Art Show, in Chennai on June 21, 2023. Former actress and her sister Shalini and her kids, AR Rahman, Mani Ratnam and several other celebrities attended the exhibition. Ajith was not present at the art gallery.

Shamili learned painting from the renowned artist AV Ilango.

Shamili recalled that she had received these awards when she was barely 4. In her words, “At that point, I obviously didn’t know much. I received the Tamil Nadu State Award from the Jayalalithaa mam. When I see the pictures now, I feel like good. She is such a powerful personality and she is also from my school. Such things obviously make you feel good.”
