Govinda's Son Faces Backlash For Smoking a Cigarette In New Photo: 'Don't Spoil Your Father's Honour'
Yashvardhan Ahuja will enter Bollywood with a film called 'Aao Twist Karen'. In 2023, it was reported that while the film will be produced by Govinda himself.

Govinda’s son Yashvardhan Ahuja is facing criticism on social media. On Tuesday morning, the starkid took to his Instagram handle and dropped a monochrome picture of himself. Yashvardhan was seen keeping an intense look as he seemingly smoked a cigarette and posed for the camera.

Even though Govinda’s son dropped a no-smoking sign emoji in the caption, netizens expressed disappointment with his picture. Soon after the photo was shared, several social media users rushed to the comments section and asked Yashvardhan not to “spoil” his father’s reputation.

“Don’t spoil your father’s honour like this,” one of the users wrote. “DON’T SMOKE BROTHER,” added another. One of the fans also expressed concern for Yashvardhan and wrote, “smoking is injurious to health sir.” “No no smoke please sir health ke liye khatra hai,” another comment read.

Yashvardhan Ahuja is Govinda’s son with his wife, Sunita Munjal. He also has a sister named Narmada ‘Tina’ Ahuja, who made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with the film Second Hand Husband. On the other hand, Yashvardhan will enter Bollywood with a film called ‘Aao Twist Karen’. In 2023, it was reported that while the film will be produced by Govinda himself, the director has not been finalised yet. Since then, there has been no update on the movie.

Interestingly, Yashvardhan Ahuja’s photo comes days after Kriti Sanon was also trolled for allegedly smoking during her Greece vacation.

It started after a video surfaced on Reddit which showed a woman in a red cover-up smoking in Greece, with users speculating that the woman was Kriti Sanon. This sparked a range of reactions online, with some netizens indifferent to the act, while others criticised the invasion of privacy.

One user commented, “As long as she doesn’t promote it. It’s whatever,” while another added, “There’s something so distasteful about famous people being filmed on holiday without their consent.” A third user simply stated, “I don’t see your point. People smoke, so what? Why is that an issue? She is on vacation; she can do anything she wants that is not illegal.”

What's your reaction?
