Ace actor Ashish Vidyarthi is excited about his recently-released web show, Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond. In a recent interview, he shared that it was an honour for him to be able to work in this new web series. It was released on April 25 on JioCinema. Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond is a war room drama that will highlight the incidents in Pulwama and Balakot. Ashish Vidyarthi talked about his character in the show, which will showcase many important stories related to the incident. In an interview, Ashish Vidyarthi revealed, “It was an honour to work in Ranneeti. The interesting part of my character is its detailing. It’s about events that happen behind the scenes. I got goosebumps when I was shooting for this series, and I’m truly thankful to the whole team for making this series possible,” he said.

He further revealed that the web series will show the actions taken in the aftermath of the attack and what actually happened. Many things the common man is unaware of, so, the viewers will see a lot of detailing. It will also show people who have worked from behind the scenes and played a significant role.

Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond boasts an interesting cast ensemble featuring Prasanna, Ashish Vidyarthi, Lara Dutta, Jimmy Shergill and Ashutosh Rana. It is helmed by Santosh Singh. The high-octane fictional drama is inspired by real-life incidents and has been shot on a grand scale. It will also decode the modern warfare that goes beyond social media, digital tactics and covert political moves.

Jimmy Shergill opened up about his challenging role in the web series in an interview. He shared that people also read or hear about what happens on-ground during a war-like situation. Being a part of the webseries allowed him to witness the strategies made first-hand. He also experienced the risk-taking, emotional trajectory and other intricate ploys that were significant. He said, “I remember an especially difficult schedule when the entire unit worked for 48 hours with no breaks but not a single cast member complained. It felt like we were right there in the middle of all the action.”

Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond follows the story of the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack of 2019.
