Game of Thrones' Iain Glen Calls Anupam Kher A 'Very Special Man' As He Joins Tanvi: The Great Cast

Tanvi: The Great marks Anupam Kher’s return to directing after his 2002 film Om Jai Jagdish. Anupam Kher announced the movie on his 69th birthday in March this year. While details regarding the film’s narrative and cast are kept under wraps, he made a major revelation about the upcoming project. The actor-director shared that Game of Thrones fame Iain Glen is part of the movie and is expected to play a vital role. This announcement comes after pictures of the duo from the sets went viral on social media recently.

Anupam Kher shared a video on Instagram featuring Iain Glen, revealing that Glen has joined the cast of Tanvi: The Great. In the video, Kher explained that their recent viral photos prompted the need to clarify Glen’s role in the film. Glen confirmed his involvement and expressed his excitement about working with Kher, mentioning their previous collaboration on the British series Mrs Wilson. The video concluded with both actors exchanging a friendly “namaste.”

Further, in the caption, he wrote, “Ladies and Gentlemen! Since our pic went viral from the sets of #TanviTheGreat yesterday, both #IainGlen and I decided to announce to the world about our collaboration for the film. On a personal note I feel delighted and privileged to have #Iain act in my directorial venture. I have been an admirer of his brilliance on stage and on screen and of course of #GameOfThrones! . Replying on the post, Iain Glen said, “Anupam is a very special man. It’s impossible to spend any time with him without your view of the world being enriched. I’m so happy to be part of his film #TanviTheGreat. And my first time in India. A beautiful country with beautiful people.”

Earlier, as the pictures of Iain Glen and Anupam Kher went viral, a report by Pinkvilla hinted at their collaboration for Tanvi: The Great. The report quoted a source close to the production as saying, “Glen will be playing a substantial role in the film. Anupam Kher has got all celebrated people in his team – from Oscar Winning, MM Keervani to do the music, to Academy Winner, Resul Pookuty as Sound Designer, among many more. Iain Glen joining the cast has just added more excitement.” Reportedly, in addition to MM Keervani and Resul Pookuty, Anupam Kher hired action director Sunil Rodrigues, lyricist Kausar Munir, and Japanese cinematographer Keiko Nakahara to work on Tanvi: The Great.
