When we talk about the lives of actors, we relate them to richness, lavish lifestyles, fame and stardom. There are a few actors for whom the journey to success was not easy. A woman named Geeta who runs a tiffin stall has successfully got various roles in the film industry, including being a TV anchor, acting in serials, and playing a mother in films. Geeta hails from Nakrekal town in Nalgonda district in Telangana. She has fond memories of growing up between the Ramakrishna Theater and Venkateswarlu Theater, which instilled in her a lifelong aspiration to act. Even today, these theatres continue to operate. The sounds of the theatre sparked her childhood dreams of seeing herself on the silver screen.
Geeta improved her acting skills using apps like DubSmash and TikTok, which allowed her to visualise and refine her performances. Encouragement from friends and family who admired her videos bolstered her confidence. After her son was born, she leveraged some contacts to secure a role in a TV serial, marking the start of her acting career.
Since then, Geeta has appeared in various TV serials including Grihapravesam, Manasu Mamatha, Guppedantha Manasu, Ninne Pelladatha, Charu Sambhalata, and Radhamma Koothuru, and the film Prema Vimana Laggam. More recently, she featured in the Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer.
Game Changer is an upcoming Indian Telugu action thriller film directed by S Shankar and produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film features Ram Charan Konidela in a triple role and leads a huge cast that includes Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Jayaram, Sunil, Samuthirakani and Nassar.
Despite her success, Geeta remains self-taught, having never undergone formal training. She shared with Local 18 that she achieved her current level of success through self-practice and determination.
