Dahn World Breaks Silence On Cult Association With HYBE Corporation
Refuting claims of being associated with HYBE Corporation, well-being and yoga organisation Dahn World urged the masses to refrain from discriminatory actions towards the firm.

One of South Korea’s popular multinational entertainment companies HYBE Corporation has been caught in the eye of the storm. While the firm’s legal battle with the record label ADOR continues to gain momentum, it has been accused of being associated with a controversial cult organisation — Dahn World. According to reports, certain social media posts suggested that boyband BTS was also promoting Dahn World through their music, sparking HYBE’s link with the yoga company. In light of such an event, Dahn World has finally broken its silence on the cult rumours by issuing an official statement, denying the claims.

Dahn World, a well-being and yogic set-up has utilised its social media handles to speak about the cult allegations, reports Koreaboo. Refuting claims of being associated with HYBE Corporation, on May 1, they released a video along with a long preview that read, “This is the preview to Dahn World’s official statement about the issue with HYBE. We will release the full version on May 2, 2024. Dahn World has absolutely no link to HYBE.” The preview added that Dahn World would be forced to take legal steps against the ongoing controversies, urging the masses to “stop the in-discriminatory malicious acts towards Dahn World.” They asserted deleting such vile comments and taking legal action without any warning.

Once again establishing themselves as a yoga company, Dahn World condemned that their organisation was “dragged into related controversy: between HYBE Corporation and ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.”

“We wish to clearly state that the controversy surrounding Dahn World Corp, Ltd, is completely false. We will be taking strong legal action against the spread of fake news that frames Dahn World, causing slander, disruption of business, and financial losses,” said Dahn World, as quoted by Koreaboo.

In 2010, Dahn World CEO Ilchi Lee disagreed with a Rolling Stone article that claimed some “Korean guru has created a fanatical following on college campuses that is part Moonies, part New Age boot camp, and pure profit,” reports Koreaboo. Dubbing himself as an educator and an author, Ilchi Lee revealed that he helps people to “use the full potential of the brain.”

Meanwhile, HYBE Corporation’s legal brawl with ADOR started when the latter demanded to function separately from its parent firm. An audit against Min Hee-jin was rolled out, asking her to quit the CEO position, In retaliation, Min Hee-jin claimed that HYBE’s subsidiary BELIFT LAB was copying girl group NewJeans for another newly-formed band — ILLIT.
