Ananya Panday is set to captivate the audience with her performance in the Netflix thriller CTRL, which will be released on October 4, following her role in Call Me Bae. Recently, the actress shared some behind-the-scenes pictures and videos before the film’s release, piquing the audience’s interest regarding her upcoming film. In the photos, Ananya dressed up like Amol Palekar, leaving many to scratch their heads with her transformation.
On Wednesday, the actress shared the post on her Instagram account, which opened with a picture of her dressed like Amol Palekar in a boy-cut wig, moustache, square-rimmed glasses, striped T-shirt and distressed jeans. She posed beside CTRL’s director, Vikramaditya Motwane. This picture was followed by a glimpse of Ananya in a skirt and top with the wig and moustache still in place. The third slide featured a video, offering a glimpse at how she turned into the iconic actor.
Further, comedian Sumukhi Suresh was seen teaching Ananya some steps, followed by some glimpses of the actress trying her hands at Sumo wrestling and hilariously failing at it. She concluded her post by adding a picture of herself in her get-up as the veteran actor and a portrait of him opened on her mobile phone. Ananya posted the pictures with the caption, “Why you may ask.. watch CTRL on Friday to find out.”
Ananya’s post caused a laughter riot amongst her fans, who took to the post’s comment section to share their reactions to her pictures. One fan wrote, “Mini chunky Pandey.” Another one said, “We got moustache Ananya before GTA 6.” Meanwhile, a third fan of the actress shared, “I don’t know why people troll Ananya Pandey so much when she has a heart of gold, she is really really sweet as well……I am a huge fan of yours, mam, keep working hard.”
Just a day before sharing BTS pictures from CTRL’s sets, Ananya posted pictures highlighting her time with her sister Rysa Panday at the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week 2024. In a note accompanying the pictures, the actress wrote, “What an honour to attend the @chanelofficial show at the Grand Palais, and yes, I get forever brownie points for taking Rysa as my plus one.”
On the work front, Ananya was last seen in Amazon Prime’s comedy-drama series Call Me Bae, directed by Colin D’Cunha. She is now gearing up for the release of CTRL, acting alongside Vihaan Samat.
