Birthdays are special, but for the youngest member of the world’s biggest boy band, BTS, it is an international affair. September 1 was no exception for Jungkook, the Golden Maknae. As he celebrated his special day, fans from all around the world showered him with love and admiration. True to form, Jungkook took to Weverse to express his heartfelt gratitude to the ARMY for making his birthday unforgettable.
He reportedly wrote, “Dear ARMY, thank you for sending me the birthday wishes. I am doing well. I will finish the remaining time in the military well. I hope that ARMY also stays well during that time.”
Jungkook has been a beloved member of BTS. His journey as a solo artist began in October 2023 with the release of his album GOLDEN, which quickly became a hit. He didn’t stop there, Jungkook also collaborated with some big names in the music industry, dropping chart-topping singles like Seven featuring Latto and 3D featuring Jack Harlow.
Fans of Jungkook have something exciting to look forward to—his first solo documentary, Jungkook: I Am Still, which is set to premiere globally on September 18. This documentary will take fans behind the scenes of his eight-month journey as a solo artist, capturing everything from his preparations for GOLDEN to the intense promotions that followed.
BTS as a group also has had a monumental year. They celebrated their 11th debut anniversary in June. While members RM, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook are currently completing their military service, the eldest member, Jin, has already been discharged as of June 12.
Both Jimin and Jungkook enlisted together under the military companion soldiers program on December 12, last year. Now, they are expected to come back together in June 2025. The entire group is expected to reunite in mid-2025 after all seven members have completed their mandatory military service in South Korea and their global fanbase cannot wait to catch a glimpse of them.
