Boom Boom In New York: Sonakshi Sinha, Diljit Dosanjh Starrer To Clash With Hichki, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran

After the hullaballoo around the unplanned title of Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh-starrer, the makers have finally zeroed down on a title and a release date. Titled Boom Boom In New York, the film also stars Lara Dutta and Riteish Deshmukh in key roles.

The ensemble cast members, who have already experimented with different genres the film industry, have now united for a 3D comedy film. The film is being directed by Chakri Toleti and is slated to release on February 23, 2018. And while not much is known about the film, reports suggest that Karan Johar will also feature in the film in a double role.

Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the film's release date and title. He wrote, "#BreakingNews: Karan Johar, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta and a massive ensemble cast... #BoomBoomInNewYork [3D], a comedy, to release on 23 Feb 2018... Chakri Toleti directs... Vashu Bhagnani and Wiz Films produce the film."

Interestingly, the film is also set for a box office clash with Rani Mukerji's comeback film Hichki and John Abraham-starrer Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran. While the three different films belong to different genres, it'll be interesting to see how an ensemble cast film performs in the presence of the other two films.
