Team India is battling for their second T20 World Cup this year and much like sports enthusiasts, the Bollywood industry is also gripped by cricket fever. The Men In Blue are enjoying an unbeaten run at the event. With the bowling unit in sublime form, India has comfortably won their first three group league fixtures to reach the Super Eight round. One man who deserves much credit is Jasprit Bumrah who stepped up with a match-winning spell in the second match to beat arch-rivals Pakistan in a thrilling contest on June 9.
Now, in a recent video, Varun Dhawan was spotted imitating Bumrah’s iconic side-on bowling action, seemingly inspired by the fast bowler. In the video shared on Instagram, the Bawaal actor was seen engaging in a game of cricket, underlining his love for the sport. Varun also pulled off a Bumrah-esque run-up to accelerate to the right speed before launching a fiery delivery at the batter’s end. He was dressed in a red loose-fitted jersey and teamed it up with orange shorts. The textual layout in the clip reads, “Bollywood ka Bumrah”.

Varun Dhawan seems to be equally adept in batting. On his Instagram Stories, the Bollywood star dropped a video showcasing his batting talent. He smacked a big six sending the ball at a considerable elevation before it went over the roof.
On the personal front, Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on June 3. Sharing the happy announcement on Instagram, the actor wrote, “Our baby girl is here. Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby.” According to a report by Hindustan Times, the new parents will be renting Hrithik Roshan’s sea-facing apartment in Juhu, Mumbai with their little one.

On the film front, Varun Dhawan has a number of projects lined up. He will next be seen in director Kalees’ action drama Baby John. He is also a part of Citadel: Honey Bunny, an Indian spin-off of the American spy action series. Besides that, Varun will begin shooting for Anees Bazmee’s No Entry 2, co-starring Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor in December.
