The Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying, “Yes, the team is in talks with Bobby Deol and discussions are in the final stage. Bobby will also play an antagonist in this movie. In Devara Part 2, both Saif and Bobby will have meaty roles as antagonists.”

It also stars Janhvi Kapoor and marks her debut in South films. It is also her first-ever collaboration with Jr NTR. “Janhvi Kapoor will not have a very extensive role in Devara Part 1. Most of her sequences will be part of the second film. But it’s an exciting role for her,” the source added.

Just like RRR, this Telugu movie will reportedly have high-octane action sequences that are expected to blow away the minds of the audience. As per reports, Devara is being made on a huge budget. The makers are reportedly spending a whopping Rs 140 crore on its VFX. The rumour mill is rife that the makers are also spending 33 per cent of the movie’s original budget on special effects.

Devara also marks Jr NTR’s 30th film. Reportedly, the actor will be portraying both, father and son on screen in this film. In January this year, Jr NTR shared the first poster of the film in which he was seen standing on a boat in the middle of the sea. He kept an intense look on his face as he also sported a shirt with black pants.

On Thursday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media handles to announce that Devara will not hit theatres on September 27. The film was earlier supposed to be released on October 10, 2024.
