Blake Lively Is All Praises For Friend Taylor Swift: 'Her Music Is Just Unmatched'

Blake Lively and popstar Taylor Swift have never shied away from expressing good words for each other. Both of them are often seen attending parties and dinners together. Back in October Taylor Swift showed up to support Travis Kelce at the Kansas City Chiefs game with Blake Lively. During the match, the Love Story hitmaker and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actor were seen laughing and chatting as they keenly watched the game. Blake Lively was also spotted attending the Eras Tour concerts with her kids, further cementing their closeness.

Recently, Blake Lively spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her friendship with the multiple Grammy-winning pop star and said, “You could’ve put any song on, like, her music is just, like, unmatched. Her writing is so beautiful and it’s so personal and you can feel that, you can feel that in the way that she sings. You can feel that in her lyrics.”

These days Blake Lively is promoting her upcoming film It Ends with Us, which is based on author Colleen Hoover’s romance novel of the same name. For the film adaptation, Blake Lively used Taylor Swift’s 2020 track My Tears Ricochet. The soulful song featured in the trailer of It Ends with Us.

In It Ends with Us, Blake Lively is playing the lead. The film is scheduled to release on August 9, 2024. Blake Lively spoke about the pressure of doing justice to the bestseller book and said, “Some people will always like a book better than a movie and some people like a movie better than the book, but I think that we just did our best to honour the book and honour the fans.” She added, “I also believe if you saw the movie and then read the book, you wouldn’t go, ‘Hold on, this isn’t’… I think they’re both really beautiful.”

It is interesting to note that this is not the first time that Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have indirectly featured in each other’s works. In 2017, James Reynolds, the daughter of actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, said the word “gorgeous” at the start of Taylor Swift’s song Gorgeous. In 2020, Taylor Swift mentioned the names of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’s kids (James, Inez and Betty) in her album Folklore.
