Bhumi Pednekar Praises Sikkim Govt's Move Towards Environmental Sustainability
Bhumi Pednekar reshared a reel on her Instagram stories which highlights the recent development and how it would increase eco-consciousness.

Bollywood diva, Bhumi Pednekar is one of the prominent actresses of the industry. Recently, she grabbed the headlines after she praised the Sikkim government for their attention and action towards eco-conservation, which is the need of the hour. This comes after an official order was issued by the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department that has mandated every vehicle that enters the state to carry a large garbage bag.

The decision has been taken to ensure everyone’s participation to commit to environmental sustainability. Now, actress Bhumi Pednekar took to her social media to laud the state government. She reshared a reel on her Instagram stories which highlights the recent development and how it would increase eco-consciousness among tourists and locals. She wrote, “I hope other states follow suit as well.”

On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar marked her debut in the industry with Dum Laga Ke Haisha, directed by Sharat Katariya. The actress starred opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanjay Mishra and Seema Pahwa. The actress has worked in films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Lust Stories, Sonchiriya, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Badhaai Do. She has also worked in Raksha Bandhan, Govinda Naam Mera and Thank You for Coming.

She was last seen in the film Pulkit’s Bhakshak which is backed by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The story centres around the case of Muzaffarpur shelter. The film premiered on Netflix on February 9.

Meanwhile, Bhumi Pednekar is also gearing up to mark her web series debut on OTT with Daldal, directed by Armit Raj Gupta. Reportedly, she will be portraying the role of a cop. As per reports, Bhumi Pednekar’s role will be shown as an overachiever who keeps pushing her boundaries and wants to rewrite the rules in a man’s world.

In an interview, she said, “I love that in Daldal, I play a woman who has shattered the glass ceiling by being appointed as the DCP of Mumbai.” She added that she loves the layer of the shows with its complexities. Previously, The Lady Killer had called Daldal a “special project” for various reasons. The shoot for the project commenced in June. The show is based on Bhendi Bazaar by Vish Damija.
