Bhool Bhulaiyaa director Anees Bazmee was recently on a 15-day recce at several locations across the country when he fractured his leg. As reported by Pinkvilla, the filmmaker took first aid from a nearby doctor but was later taken to Mumbai where he underwent surgery. Reportedly, doctors advised 6 months bed-rest to Bazmee after inserting a steel plate in his leg.
“He fractured his right leg with three cracks and was suggested a bed-rest for 6 months with a plastered leg following the natural process of healing. The filmmaker decided to take basic treatment from the local hospital at the spot of recce and returned to Mumbai. He consulted top doctors, who gave him the option of a steel plate followed by a 3-month rest or surgery. Anees instantly decided to undergo surgery,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed. It further shared that the filmmaker will begin shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on March 10.
Headlined by Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was the perfect Bollywood horror comedy. It was released in 2022 and grossed over 180 crore in India. The film also starred Rajpal Yadav.
Meanwhile, the third film in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise will see the return of OG Manjulika aka Vidya Balan. Earlier this week, Kartik Aaryan shared a montage of scenes from ‘Ami Je Tomar’ dance that was performed by him in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 as well as the OG Vdiya Balan’s performance from Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Posting the clip on his Instagram handle, Kartik wrote, “And its happening Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya ❤️This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 @aneesbazmee @tseries.official #BhushanKumar.”
It was recently reported that Madhuri Dixit will also be joining Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
