Arjun Kapoor Calls Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Citadel Honey Bunny ‘Epic Ride’, Praises Trailer

Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are all set to share screen space for the first time in a web series Citadel Honey Bunny. The trailer was released on Tuesday and has been trending since then. Fans and celebrities all are impressed with the action drama. Arjun Kapoor also praised the trailer and called it an epic ride.

Taking to his Instagram stories, he shared the trailer and wrote, “Buckle up, because this one is going to be an epic ride!” Alia Bhatt reposted the trailer of Citadel: Honey Bunny and wrote, “This looks so good. My favorites smashing it. @samantharuthprabhuoffl and @varundvn.”  Karan Johar wrote on his IG stories, “This looks kicka*s. And cannot wait for @samantharuthprabhuoffl and @varundvn to kick some a*s. Best of luck Honey and Bunny.”

The trailer is a preview of the exhilarating and riveting spy thriller set against the vibrant tapestry of the 90’s, which features explosive action, high-octane stunts, and edge-of-your-seat excitement, all perfectly complemented by exceptional performances and a grand visual scale. When stuntman Bunny (Varun Dhawan) recruits struggling actress Honey (Samantha) for a side gig, they are hurled into a high-stakes world of action, espionage, and betrayal. Years later, as their dangerous past catches up, the estranged Honey and Bunny must reunite and fight to protect their young daughter Nadia.

With Citadel: Honey Bunny, Varun hopes for his career to take a new turn. Addressing the press, he said, “I had a great time and it was a wake-up call for me. Hopefully, a lot of people will take notice of this.” Up next, Varun will be seen donning the hat of an action star once again with Atlee’s Baby John, which is slated to release in December. The action sequences in it are, however, very different from those in Citadel: Honey Bunny.

This action-packed thriller, directed by the famous pair Raj & DK, stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles. It is part of the global Citadel universe which includes the critically acclaimed season, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The cast also includes Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar and Kashvi Majmundar.
