Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday congratulated Indian women's cricket team and shuttler Kidambi Srikanth over their respective wins at ICC Women's Cricket World Cup and Australian Open Super Series.
While Srikanth defeated Chinese Cheng Long on Sunday to clinch the Australian Open Super Series men's single title, the Indian women's cricket team on Saturday defeated England on their home soil by 35 runs in the opening match of the ICC Women's cricket World Cup.
"Congratulations India. Proud to be an Indian," Amitabh wrote in a series of tweets.
