Alien Romulus Teaser Promises An Intense Experience, India Release Date Out
A tense moment in the clip reveals one of the victims getting an unexpectedly close and vivid look at the alien. By the time the crew begins to react, it's already too late.

After a tough day, there’s nothing like a comforting hug—just not from a face-hugger! Alien: Romulus is set to return to the franchise’s chilling origins. Following the release of the final trailer, which featured a new set of victims facing the horrors of xenomorphs, 20th Century Studios India has now shared a short teaser for the film’s Indian release. They’ve also announced the release date on their official YouTube channel. The trailer starts off slowly and ominously, introducing the film’s premise and Cailee Spaeny’s character, Rain Carradine, the leader of a scavenger crew.

“This place gives me the creeps," says one of the crew in an overshadowy shot of Romulus’ eerily empty corridors. Within moments, the teaser shifts to full nightmare mode as Rain and her crew face flying face huggers, a chest-burster and a full-sized Xenomorph drone. We also get a glimpse of a character screaming for help as she says, “Oh my God, someone please help me."

A tense moment in the clip shows one of the victims getting an unexpectedly vivid view of the alien. By the time the crew can even start screaming, it’s already too late.

There are a few more tension-evoking and jump-scare-prompting scenes that show just how helpless the scavenger crew and others are when they face their ultimate, extra-terrestrial enemies. The 30-second-long teaser shows the scavenger team arming themselves to fight their enemies.

Take a look at it here:

“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe," reads the official synopsis of the film on IMDb.

Fede Álvarez directed the film and co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues. Alien: Romulus will feature the new character Rain as the main cast member with Spike Fearn, Isabela Merced, Archie Renaux, David Jonsson and Aileen Wu in major roles.

The sci-fi horror film is set to release on August 23 in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
