Ajith Kumar Gets A Shoutout From Wife Shalini: 'Great To See You Back As Racing Driver'

Tamil actor Ajith Kumar is celebrated for his impressive acting skills and stellar career in the Indian film industry. Apart from acting, the 53-year-old also has a knack for racing. He is a professional racer and is among the few Indians to have raced in the international arena and Formula championships. Some time back, Ajith even launched his racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing.

After competing in many championships in the 2000s, the motorsports enthusiast is set to return to racing once again. His wife Shalini Ajith Kumar took to the photo-sharing platform to wish her husband. Sharing details about Ajith’s team, she wrote, “It’s great to see you back as a racing driver, doing what you love. Wishing you and your team a safe and successful racing career ahead!”

According to the schedule shared, the team will kick off their journey at Michelin Dubai 24h 2025, taking place from January 10 to 12. Following that, they will participate in events across Europe, including the European 24h Series championship and the Porsche GT3 Cup.

A video shared by Ajith’s manager Suresh Chandra on X (formerly Twitter) also proved he is a true blue traveller. It captured him on an adventurous bike ride as he interacted with people. He said, “The idea is to get people to travel because I think travel is the best form of education. There’s a quote that says that religion makes you hate people that you have never met before, be it religion or caste, whatever, which is so true,” he added. The actor emphasised that encountering different cultures while travelling leads to greater empathy and makes individuals better people.

Meanwhile, a day back, Ajith Kumar’s wife posted a video on her Instagram account featuring glimpses from their getaway in Spain. The couple was seen casually strolling on the beautiful streets of a city. Sharing the reel with Harry Styles’ song “Adore You” as the background music, she wrote, “Together is a wonderful place to be.” In the video, the South superstar looked handsome in a black two-piece suit paired with a white shirt, whereas his wife complemented him in a white outfit.

On the work front, the 53-year-old actor has been shooting his upcoming Tamil film, Good Bad Ugly, in Hyderabad for the past few months. He is also gearing up for the release of the Magizh Thirumeni-directed film Vidaamuyarchi.
