AIB has approached the Bombay HC seeking quashing of FIR filed against them in Tardeo police station on the directions of a Mumbai court. The HC will hear the matter on March 16th. The court has asked police not to take any coercive action till then.

The concert was for an adult audience, notices/dis-claimer of the same were also added prior to the viewing of the show. The Petitioner did not intend to insult the modesty of any woman. Further, none of the ladies on whom the jokes were made have not raised any grievance about the same. While the roast format is new in India, it has been in existence since 1949, with the first ever roast taking place in New York in 1949. The Merriam-Webster dictionary recognizes the art form with the definition of roasting expanded to include the example "to honor (a person) at a roast.
