Actor Gavie Chahal who was last seen in Salman Khan’s blockbuster Tiger Zinda Hai has bagged a role in Sanjay Dutt’s in Torbaaz. He plays the character Shariyar, a key character in the film.
The actor took to his Instagram account to make the announcement. He shared a picture from the sets of the film and wrote: “Here We Go !!! Meet Shariyar from the sets of film TORBAAZ !! Waheguru shukar ????!! #sunjaydutt #nargisfakhri #girishmalik #torbaaz #bishkek #kyrgyzstan #gaviechahal” (sic).
Gavie had found a niche audience for himself and has been garnering much-needed appreciation from the critics. His works in the past have been hugely appreciated by the movie critics and cine-goers. While speaking to News18.com, Gavie said, “I worked hard for Salman sir’s film and that helped me in bagging a role in ‘Torbaaz’. The movie is shot in some breathtaking locales and it is a bit challenging to shoot in Kyrgyzstan weather. A large portion of the film is shot at in Kyrgyzstan. I liked the character offered to me and the and to face a lot of challenges.”
‘I am very humbled that people are started recognizing me and appreciating my work. Many scripts are coming my way and it feels great to work with superstars,” he added.
Torbaaz is based in Afghanistan and is a story about child suicide bombers of Afghanistan, who have been trained to believe that killing is a virtue and brings glory is in the afterlife.
