Koraput is a picturesque town located in the foothills of the Eastern Ghats in southern Odisha. It is known for its green meadows, forests, waterfalls and narrow valleys that attract visitors. Devamali, a mountain in Koraput, rises to 1,672 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak in the area. From its top, you can enjoy a stunning view of Koraput.

One of the attractions of Koraput is the Kolab Botanical Garden. While there are several gardens in Koraput, the Kolab Botanical Garden stands out for its beauty. Located next to the Gulab Dam, it is home to more than 200 species of beautiful flowers, making it a unique and picturesque place.

Duduma waterfall, with its water falling from a height of 500 meters, is located on the border of Visakhapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh. It is recognised as the third-highest waterfall in Odisha and is approximately one hour and 48 minutes from Koraput. The great height of the waterfall and the lush vegetation around it attract many visitors.

If you visit Koraput, Odisha, don’t miss the Gupteshwar Caves. Inside the cave, there is a Shivalinga which is believed to grow in size every day. Interestingly, this Shivalinga is said to have been first discovered by Lord Shri Ram during his exile in the Ramayana period.
